How to make and record your own music

– Arranging music, recording music, tips and tricks on mixing and mastering

Our latest single, Ff Freakey, was released in August 2025. It was recorded in our home studio with minimal adjustments made after the mixing was completed. Consequently, the mixing and mastering processes were kept within manageable efforts. The same basic Mixing and Mastering techniques were used. For mixing, the 3 basic principles were followed: first make sure the levels of the different sounds are ‘as desired”, than organize the  panning left and right, separating frequencies with an equalizer (if this is required), and positioning sounds in the foreground or background of the mix using reverb (Sound Positioning View). 

Furthermore, we examined the arrangement (Arrangement view), focusing on how the song builds over time and whether there is a logical sequence— or perhaps a deliberate break from it.
